The original purpose of this project was to create an open source CSS parser for DOM4J. However, there is already a project with similar goals that is far more advanced:
Thus, this project will probably be stripped down to a simple CSS tokenizer, and then perhaps be merged into Rhino-Canvas, its only current use case.
